The President today announced the appointment of Billy M. Mills, of Fair Oaks, Calif., as a member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Mills is a former Olympic track star who won a gold medal in the 1964 Olympics. He now works as a life insurance underwriter and is active in community affairs and as a public speaker.
