The President today announced the nomination of Lewis M. Branscomb, of Armonk, N.Y., to be a member of the National Science Board.
Branscomb, of Armonk, N.Y., is vice president and chief scientist for IBM Corp., former Director of the National Bureau of Standards, and an expert in atomic physics.
