Superior Court of the District of Columbia Nomination of Truman A. Morrison III To Be an Associate Judge.

The President today announced that he will nominate Truman A. Morrison III to the vacancy on the District of Columbia Superior Court caused by the resignation of Judge John Penn. Penn was recently named to the United States District Court.

Morrison, 35, is Chief of the Trial Division of the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C. He attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and clerked for Chief Judge John W. Reynolds of the Eastern District of Wisconsin following his graduation.

Morrison joined the Public Defender Service in 1971 and was named Chief of the Trial Division in 1975.
