The President today announced the appointment of Steven F. Arvizu, of Sacramento, Calif., as a member of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
Arvizu is an associate professor of anthropology at California State University. He is director of the Cross Cultural Resource Center and president of the Council on Anthropology and Education. He was chairperson of National Education Task Force De La Raza from 1970 to 1973.
