Corporation for Public Broadcasting Nomination of Melba Beals To Be a Member of the Board of Directors.

The President today announced that he will nominate Melba Beals, of San Francisco, Calif., to be a member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She would replace Lucius Perry Gregg, Jr., whose term has expired.
Beals, 38, is a freelance writer, consultant, and lecturer. She was a reporter with KQED-TV in 1971 and with KRONTV from 1972 to 1977. She has published articles in newspapers and magazines in San Francisco and has ghostwritten two books.
