DeSantis Campaign Press Release - DeSantis Visits 99th Iowa County, Completes the "Full Grassley," and Announces Commitment to Move U.S. Department of Agriculture to Iowa
Des Moines, IA - Ron DeSantis today held his "99th County Rally" in Newton, Iowa (Jasper County), and officially completed the "full Grassley," having held a campaign event in every single one of Iowa's 99 counties.
"We're going to rise to the occasion and get the job done. And I'm confident after going through these 99 counties, Iowa will begin the revival of the United States of America," Ron DeSantis said.
At the rally, DeSantis made a major announcement: as part of his plan to rein in the federal bureaucracy and reduce the influence of Washington, D.C. on our government, he officially committed to moving the headquarters of The U.S. Department of Agriculture to Iowa when elected president.
"I can say as part of our effort to take power out of Washington, D.C., [we'll be] moving agencies to other parts of the country. We will answer the call... you guys will have first dibs on the Department of Agriculture. We'll send it to Iowa!" Ron DeSantis said.
At the rally, several Iowa endorsers joined Ron and Casey DeSantis on stage, including Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, FAMiLY Leader President Bob Vander Plaats, Iowa House Majority Leader Matt Windschitl, and Iowa State Representative Jon Dunwell.
"If you like what we're doing here in Iowa, you're going to love what Ron DeSantis will do for this country. And that's why I wholeheartedly, excitedly, stood up and endorsed him. I believe in him with every fiber of my being. I believe that this is the guy that can not only beat Joe Biden or whoever their candidate is, but will--on day one--get this country back on track. And that's why I said I'll do whatever I can to help you. I will get out there and share your message. I'll encourage Iowans to look at your record. It's a record of success. I will get out there and encourage people to caucus for you!" Governor Kim Reynolds said.
