On what President DeSantis' top priorities would be:

The things I'm going to do on day one as president are probably the three issues that I hear most about. One, we're going to declare a national emergency at the border, stop this invasion, and end the problem once and for all. Two, we're going to reverse Bidenomics, all the rules, regulations, executive orders, so we can lower prices and lower interest rates. And then third, we're going to ensure that we have American energy independence and dominance. We need to lower people's gas prices, lower energy costs. We have the resources, we just have to produce. So, we're going to reverse the Green New Deal, and we're going to open up the energy floodgates in this country.

On his debate with California Governor Gavin Newsom:

He is running a shadow campaign, even people in his own party are saying that. A lot of Democrats want to move Biden out. And so, you know, you could have Harris, you could have Newsom, you can have a lot of different people. But I think it's important that Republican voters get the sense that we may not be running against Biden. So, I think what he's done in California, Governor Newsom, causing a mass exodus out of the state, you've really seen cities collapse there. That is what he would want to do for this entire country. And it would accelerate the collapse we've seen under Joe Biden. So, the stakes are really high for America. Yes, we can sit there and talk about Florida versus California. I mean, people are flooding into Florida because we've stood for freedom and prosperity. They're leaving California because they can't even keep the streets safe -- unless President Xi Jinping from China comes, then they clean everything up. But other than that, people live in squalor. So, I think it's an important debate for the country. And yes, he is looming to potentially run for the Democrats. So, we've got to be ready for that.

On building a prosperous country for the next generation:

The Biden economy with the high prices and high interest rates is absolutely killing young people. They go out into the world in their 20s, and they can't afford to buy a home, a new car. The American Dream has really slipped away. So, we're going to reverse all those policies. We're also going to address the student loan issue. Not by having taxpayers pay off people's student loans like the Democrats want. We're going to make the universities responsible for the student loans. So, the universities are putting people through, they're getting a lot of tuition money for these loans, they need to have courses of study that are going to put these students on a pathway to self-sufficiency and success. And if they can't do that, then they should be the ones to pay the piper. So, I think on the bread-and-butter issues, Biden has failed young people, and we have an opportunity to do very well.
