Employment and Training Report of the President Message to the Congress Transmitting the Report.

August 27, 1979

To the Congress of the United States:

I am transmitting to you the 17th annual report pertaining to employment and occupational requirements, resources, uses, and training, as required by section 127(a) of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) Amendments of 1978.

This Employment and Training Report of the President also includes a report on how social services, vocational education, and other programs administered by the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare are being integrated into State and local CETA activities, as required by section 127(b) of the 1978 CETA Amendments; a number of special reports that respond to additional reporting requirements in the amended CETA; a report on services for veterans, as required by the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act; and a response to the requirements of section 4(f) (2) (B) of the Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978.
