I HAVE RECEIVED your expression of regret concerning the Air Force disaster in Germany. I am most grateful for your sympathy and have made your kind message known to the American people.

Note: Chancellor Adenaucr's message, received by the Secretary of State, follows:
On the occasion of the serious disaster which occurred to the United States Air Force by the crashing of the troop transport near Edelweiler, I would like you to transmit to the President of the United States my deepest sympathy. I express my sincere condolences to the relatives of the soldiers who met with the fatal accident.
