
Executive Order 5210—Authorizing the Appointment of Josephine Jackley Without Regard to Civil Service Rules
Mrs. Josephine Jackley may be appointed a clerk in the Treasury Department without compliance with the civil service rules.
This order is recommended by the Secretary of the Treasury, who states that Mrs. Jackley is the widow of Dano M. Jackley, who served as a prohibition agent for seven years and who was killed at Branchville, Maryland, on May 14, 1929, in the performance of his official duty while engaged in the pursuit of an automobile suspected of transporting liquor.
