Executive Order 5226—Prescribing Regulations Governing Diplomatic Visas in the Foreign Service
By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Act of Congress approved May 22, 1918, entitled "An Act to Prevent in Time of War Departure from and Entry into the United States Contrary to the Public Safety," as extended by the Act of Congress of March 2, 1921, entitled, "An Act making appropriations for the Diplomatic and Consular Service for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1922," Paragraph XII-6 of the Instructions to Diplomatic Officers of the United States and Paragraph 366 of Article XXII of the Consular Regulations as now established are hereby canceled and the following substituted therefor:
XII-6. Diplomatic Visas.
Diplomatic visas will be granted under such regulations as may be prescribed by the Secretary of State.
