Executive Order 5276—Withdrawal of Public Lands for Classification

New Mexico

Under authority of the act of Congress approved June 25, 1910 (36 Stat. 847), as amended by the act of August 24, 1912 (37 Stat. 497 ), and subject to the conditions therein expressed, it is hereby ordered that the public lands within the following listed townships in the State of New Mexico be, and they are hereby, temporarily withdrawn, subject to valid existing claims, for classification and pending determination as to the advisability of including such lands in a national monument:

NEW MEXICO PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN

Ts. 16, 17, and 18, S., Rs. 5, 6, and 7 E.

This order shall continue in full force and effect unless and until revoked by the President or by act of Congress.
