Executive Order 5878—Rental and Subsistence Allowances of Officers

Pursuant to authority contained in sections 5 and 6 of the act of Congress of June 10, 1922 (42 Stat. 625, 628), the following rates are hereby announced as effective for the fiscal year ending Juno 30, 1933, for the rental and subsistence allowances of officers of the various services entitled thereto:

For one subsistence allowance, 52 cents per day.

For the rental allowance for one room, $18 per month.
