
Executive Order 6708—Authorizing and Directing John Dickinson, Assistant Secretary of Commerce, to Perform the Duties of the Director of the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce, in Case of Absence, Resignation, etc., of the Director of Said Bureau
Under the authority vested in me by section 179 of the Revised Statutes (U.S.C., title 5, sec. 6), I hereby authorize and direct John Dickinson, Assistant Secretary of Commerce, to perform the duties of the Director of the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce of the Department of Commerce in case of the resignation, absence, or sickness of the Director of said Bureau until the sickness or absence of the incumbent shall cease or in the event of resignation until a successor shall have been appointed.
