Executive Order 6957—Withdrawal of Public Lands for Classification and in Aid of Legislation, Alaska
By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the act of June 25, 1910 (ch. 421, 36 Stat. 847), as amended by the act of August 24, 1912 (ch. 369, 37 Stat. 497), and subject to the conditions therein expressed, to valid existing rights, and to the provisions of existing withdrawals, it is ordered that all the public lands in the following townships in Alaska be, and they are hereby, temporarily withdrawn from settlement, location, sale, entry, or other form of appropriation, and reserved for classification, to conserve the public interests, and in aid of such legislation as may hereafter be proposed or recommended:
Seward Meridian
Tps. 17 N., Rs. 1, 2, and 3 E.
Tps. 18 N., Rs. 1, 2, and 3 E.
Tps. 19 N., Rs. 1 and 2 E.
Tps. 17 N., Rs. 1 and 2 W. T. 18 N., R. 1 W.
This order shall remain in full force and effect unless and until revoked by the President or by act of Congress.
