Executive Order 7243—Authorizing the Appointment of Herbert J. Wollner to a Position in the Treasury Department Without Regard to Civil-Service Rules

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883 (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Herbert J. Wollner may be appointed as consulting chemist in the Treasury Department, without compliance with the requirements of the civil-service rules.

This order is recommended by the Secretary of the Treasury.
