Executive Order 7654—Authorizing the Appointment of Jacob Oblock to the Position of Elevator Operator in the Custodial Service, Post Office Department, Without Regard to the Civil Service Rules

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Jacob Oblock may be appointed to a position as elevator operator in the Custodial Service, Post Office Department, without compliance with the requirements of the Civil Service Rules.

Mr. Oblock sustained serious injuries while engaged in the performance of his duties as laborer in the Custodial Service of the Post Office Department and has been unable to resume his former occupation.
