Executive Order 7899—Authorizing the Appointment of Miss Amy G. Maher to a Position in the Social Security Board Without Regard to Civil Service Rules

May 26, 1938

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by the provisions of paragraph Eighth of subdivision SECOND of section 2 of the Civil Service Act of January 16, 1883, (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is hereby ordered that Miss Amy G. Maher may be appointed to a position as technical adviser in the Social Security Board without compliance with the requirements of the civil service rules.

This order is recommended by the Social Security Board.
