Executive Order 8212—Reinstatement of James J. Murphy, Jr., a Former Foreign Service Officer

July 25, 1939

By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 12 of the act of February 23, 1931, 46 Stat. 1207, 1208, it is ordered that James J. Murphy, Jr., who resigned his position as an officer in the Foreign Service of the United States on March 23, 1931, to accept an appointment to a position in the Department of State, be, and is hereby, reinstated in the Foreign Service of the United States in Class III, his reinstatement to be effective upon the date of his nomination to a position in such class is confirmed by the Senate.
