The President today announced his intention to nominate Samuel D. Zagoria of Maryland to be a member of the Federal Election Commission for a term expiring April 30, 1983.
Mr. Zagoria, formerly a member of the National Labor Relations Board, is director of the Labor-Management Relations Service, which is sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Mayors to provide leaders of local government with information and education on municipal labormanagement relations.
A 1954 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, Mr. Zagoria served for 10 years as administrative assistant to Senator Clifford Case of New Jersey. Previously, he was a reporter and an editor for the Washington Post for 10 years.
