FLOTUS pool report #1 - Halloween reading

FLOTUS came onto the South Lawn at 12:11 pm to join the Halloween festivities.

FLOTUS, dressed in an emerald green pantsuit, is reading "Ten Spooky Pumpkins" to little trick or treaters at the White House.

The reading is taking place near the fountain, which has been dyed green for the occasion.

Lots of dressed up kiddos - a bright green alien, a chicken, Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh and much much more.

The Beast is parked near the fountain and available for photo ops.

Various agencies have booths along the South Drive to hand out treats - NASA, Library of Congress, Custom and Border Patrol, State, Treasury and many more.

The South Portico is decorated with a large orange moon and a sign reading "Hallow-read at the White House." On either side of the door is a giant pumpkin. There is a cardboard cutout of Willow the cat. An adult dressed as a bunny was doing photo ops.

The lawn is packed with adults and kids enjoying the beautiful weather and collecting treats. There are also a few games set up for the kids to enjoy.

FLOTUS finished reading and told people: "Thank you for coming. Happy Halloween everybody. I hope you're having a great day."

She exited at 12:15. She'll be back out later today with POTUS to hand out treats.
