According to a new Quinnipiac University poll, Gingrich is beating Romney 30% to 25% in Virginia. No other candidate is in double figures. In a head-to-head matchup, Gingrich beats Romney by an even wider 47% to 39% margin.
Gingrich is also beating Romney among several key attributes, including being a stronger leader and having the right knowledge and experience to be president:
- 38% - 29% percent that he is a strong leader;
- 49% - 18% percent that he is better on foreign policy;
- 48% - 25% percent that he has the knowledge and experience to be president.
