Giuliani Campaign Press Release - Florida State Representative Hugh Gibson Endorses Mayor Giuliani

The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced that Hugh Gibson, a Florida State Representative from The Villages, has endorsed Mayor Giuliani for President.

"Rudy Giuliani is the only candidate with the experience and vision to lead our nation. Having transformed New York City, cutting taxes and crime along the way, we know that he is able to solve difficult problems that others can't. Rudy will bring the same resolve to Washington," said Representative Gibson.

"Representative Gibson is a great addition to our strong Florida team," said Attorney General Bill McCollum, Giuliani's State Chairman. "He is an experienced public servant who will help spread Rudy's message of strong leadership and commitment to lower taxes and keeping America safe."

Reflecting the campaign's strong grassroots effort, Giuliani has the support of dozens of current and former local, county and state officials. Today's announcement follows the recent endorsement of former U.S. Representative Clay Shaw.

About Representative Hugh Gibson:

Representative Gibson was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000. He previously served as Mayor of Lady Lake and as a Lady Lake Commissioner. Gibson was a firefighter and fire chief during a 30 year career in New Jersey.
