Haley Campaign Press Release - Haley Blasts Biden's Inflation Reduction Act as "Communist Manifesto"

CHARLESTON, S.C.—As Joe Biden's cabinet celebrates the one-year anniversary of the misnamed "Inflation Reduction Act" (IRA), presidential candidate Nikki Haley slammed the bill for having nothing to do with reducing inflation and making America further dependent on China.

"The IRA is a communist manifesto filled with tax hikes and green subsidies that benefit China and make America more dependent on Beijing," Nikki Haley said. "While Joe Biden cozies up to Xi Jinping, American families are footing the bill for all this spending. As president, I will repeal Biden's green energy handouts and make sure Americans are not dependent on China for vital goods."

It took Joe Biden a year, but even he admitted recently that the absurdly named bill "has less to do with reducing inflation." No kidding. Moody's Analytics reports that American families are spending $709 more per month on everyday goods and services than they did two years ago. Even liberal economist Jason Furman admitted he "can't think of any mechanism by which it would have brought down inflation to date."

So who is benefitting from the IRA? Communist China.

Biden's focus on electric vehicles is making Americans even more dependent on a China-dominated green energy supply chain. China processes more battery metals, produces more battery cells, and makes more finished electric vehicle batteries than any other country, all while being the world's number one polluter. It is becoming increasingly clear that Joe Biden can't accomplish his radical green agenda without China's help.
