Haley Campaign Press Release - Haley Brings Her Momentum to the Upstate

September 07, 2023

CHARLESTON S.C. – On her first of two South Carolina town halls this week, Nikki Haley rallied a standing-room only (with an overflow room) brewery in Boiling Springs. More than a few people wanted to talk about the new CNN poll showing Haley defeating Joe Biden in a general election.

What They Are Saying

AP's Meg Kinnard: So far there are a few hundred people at this (very humid) Boiling Springs brewery for @NikkiHaley's event, which kicks off shortly, & more keep coming in. Organizers tell me they expect an even bigger crowd at her stop tomorrow in North Charleston.

Washington Post's Dylan Wells: Rep. Ralph Norman is introducing Nikki Haley at her event here in Boiling Springs. He begins by talking about the CNN poll this morning, and then asking how many people watched the debate.

Greenville News' Devyani Chhetri: @RepRalphNorman is here introducing Haley to the crowd. "We need somebody who will stand up for America"

Washington Examiner's Tim Carney: "I am not an Ivy Leaguer like the rest of the candidates."

Washington Post's Dylan Wells: A seven year old boy asks Haley why she wants to be president. "Because you deserve better than what you're getting right now," Haley responds, then adds "Just wait until you see me become the mom of America."

AP's Meg Kinnard: After her remarks, @NikkiHaley accepts a bouquet from a girl on behalf of Michael Haley - on a yearlong deployment to Africa with the SC Army Nat'l Guard - saying she hadn't been able to speak with him yet today, their 27th anniversary. "We're under the same stars," she says.

Washington Examiner's Tim Carney: Rep. Ralph Norman introducing Nikki Haley. "She's the only one who can win the election."

Greenville News' Devyani Chhetri: ??I'm at the Nikki Haley meet and greet in Boiling Springs and it's crowded. Today @CNN released a poll where Haley polled with the highest percentage in a Haley-Biden matchup.
