Haley Campaign Press Release - NEW VIDEO: New DeSantis Ad Shows "a Desperation"

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Nikki Haley for President campaign released a new video highlighting just how far the Ron DeSantis campaign has fallen. The video shows news reporters unmasking DeSantis' latest TV ad attacking Nikki Haley as false and desperate.

MSNBC'S JONATHAN LEMIRE: It's important to note this ad takes past quotes from Haley about Clinton completely out of context. Let's say that again—completely out of context. It shows a desperation of the DeSantis camp.

NBC NEWS' JONATHAN ALLEN: Some of the knocks they've had against Haley have resorted to twisting the truth... This is a campaign that has failed to launch. For months and months and months, it has failed to launch.

The raw footage shows Haley saying she doesn't agree with Hillary Clinton on anything and actively campaigning against Clinton in 2016. Haley credited Clinton with saying young women shouldn't listen to critics who tell them not to run for office, but that's where the praise ended.

"Ron DeSantis' campaign admits its false attacks against Nikki Haley have backfired," said campaign spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas. "Their latest attempt is just as false and desperate. Haley has long said she doesn't agree with Clinton on anything and she'd be a disastrous president. Ron DeSantis spent $100 million to end up in fifth place in New Hampshire.
