Haley Campaign Press Release - Was Biden's Abortion Position Revealed on CNN?

DES MOINES, Iowa – At last night's CNN town hall, host Jake Tapper said that President Biden would support a federal late-term abortion ban at 20 weeks:

TAPPER: "Actually, Joe Biden—President Biden—last fall was asked would he support any restrictions. His answer was, that he did, and his basic position—President Biden's—is to codify Roe v. Wade, which would mean abortion legal, until the first 20—I think it's 20 weeks of pregnancy."

"Last night, Jake Tapper suggested that President Biden would support a federal ban on late-term abortion," Nikki Haley said. "That surprises me. I had never heard that before. It would be good news if true. President Biden should work with Republicans and Democrats to pass a ban on late-term abortion.

"My goal has always been to save as many babies and help as many moms as possible. I believe Republicans and Democrats can find consensus on banning late-term abortion. If this is really Joe Biden's position, it would be a very important step forward."
