International Joint Commission, United States and Canada Nomination of Jean L. Hennessey To Be a U.S. Commissioner.
The President today announced that he will nominate Jean L. Hennessey, of Hanover, N.H., to be a Commissioner on the part of the United States on the International Joint Commission, United States and Canada.
Hennessey, 52, is director of the New Hampshire Council of Management and Budget in the Office of the Governor, where she has established a Revenue Forecasting Council and a Property and Debt Management Council.
She is a consultant on foundation, corporate, and individual philanthropy, and was for 10 years executive director of the New Hampshire Charitable Fund and Affiliated Trusts, a statewide community foundation.
She is active in civic affairs, particularly those concerned with environmental issues, and serves as a trustee of the Environmental Law Institute and the New England Natural Resources Council.
