On Saturday, January 27, the Vice President will travel to Las Vegas, NV to highlight the Biden-Harris Administration's commitment to uplifting small businesses and supporting entrepreneurship. She will be joined by Small Business Administrator Isabella Guzman and Rep. Steven Horsford. The Second Gentleman will also travel to Las Vegas.
The Biden-Harris Administration has already invested more money in small businesses throughout America than any administration in history. In the first three years of the Administration, over 16 million new small business applications were filed, which is more than any three years on record. Vice President Harris has traveled the nation – from rural Louisiana and small towns in New Hampshire, to Indian country – to meet with small business owners and entrepreneurs. Lifting up, growing, and creating small businesses was a priority for the Vice President when she served in the Senate too. She fought to secure $12 billion for community lenders, which disproportionately support rural, minority-owned, and women-owned small businesses.
This will mark the Vice President's 10th visit to the Battle Born State since taking office. Earlier this month, the Vice President was in Las Vegas, where she met with hospitality workers of the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and delivered remarks celebrating their successful new contracts, which led to historic pay raises and workplace safety improvements.
