It gives me great pleasure to convey to Your Excellency and to the people of Venezuela warm greetings and hearty congratulations from the people of the United States and from myself on the occasion of the commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the independence of the Republic of Venezuela. I am confident that the social, political, and economic progress of Venezuela and its people will continue in the years ahead.
