Nomination of Renald P. Morani To Be Inspector General of the Veterans Administration

The President today announced his intention to nominate Renald P. Morani to be Inspector General at the Veterans Administration. He would succeed Frank Saburo Sato.

Since 1984 Mr. Morani has been Deputy Inspector General of the Veterans Administration in Washington, DC. Prior to this, he was Assistant Inspector General for Policy, Planning, and Resources at the Veterans Administration, 1981-1984, and Assistant Inspector General for Policy, Planning, and Resources at the Department of Transportation, 1979-1981.

Mr. Morani graduated from Southern Illinois University (B.S., 1957). He was born March 17, 1934, in Herrin, IL. He is married, has two children, and resides in Vienna, VA.
