Happy weekend to one and all. A small scheduling update here from sunny, windy Wilmington: The initially scheduled noon call time has been pushed back to 3:30pm.

Out of town pool report #2 / rolling

Pool has been swept and loaded into the bus, and at 5:07pm we are rolling outside of POTUS' residence. Close readers of this space won't have to stretch too much to guess where we may be heading.

Out of town pool report #3 / church

We arrived at St. Joseph on the Brandywine at 5:17pm, taking a more circuitous route than usual (POTUS also appears later than usual for 5pm mass).

Like yesterday, there were a small handful of protesters outside the neighborhood, holding Palestinian flags and signs against the war in Gaza. The route the motorcade took avoided a larger group of protesters on the other side of the neighborhood.

Pool also spotted, a few doors down from POTUS' house, a small lawn sign that read, "We stand with Israel."

Out of town pool report #4 / back to house and lid

POTUS emerged from church at 5:55pm, stopping to talk for a minute or two with the priest at the front door.

POTUS had a newspaper in one hand, folded over, and walked and talked with someone from the church as he headed to the car.

At 5:58pm we were rolling and had a quick ride back.

As the motorcade entered his neighborhood, about a dozen protesters were there with bullhorns, Palestinian flags, and a sign that read, "Genocide Joe is not welcome here." Someone also poured a red liquid onto the ground as the motorcade passed.

We arrived at the house at 6:02pm. We held for a few minutes but now have a lid.
