Out of town pool report #1 - Rehoboth call time push

Good morning from a beautifully sunny Rehoboth Beach, where the 10am call time has been pushed to 12 noon.

Out of town pool report #4 - Beach

The motorcade drove out of the road from POTUS beach house and his SUV stopped by the path to the beach. POTUS, wearing a black baseball cap and a short sleeved white polo, got out on the side opposite the pool, waved briefly and set off down the path. He didn't respond to shouted questions on Gaza and the state of the 2024 race. Secret Service agents held up a long line of traffic in either direction. Pool now heading towards beach

Out of town pool report #5 - POTUS on the beach

President Biden sat down under a pair of blue beach umbrellas, probably around 30 yards from the water's edge, with two other people who were already there, whom the White House said were FLOTUS and granddaughter Naomi.

At 1.09pm he reclined his seat and removed his hat, and a few minutes later put his hands behind his head. Then he put the back of the chair back up a few degrees, before starting to look at his phone.

Other beachgoers appeared to pay little attention to POTUS. A handful Secret Service agents kept up a cordon around the Bidens on the beach, and others were posted on a dune near pool journalists.

One beachgoer, off duty HuffPost reporter Igor Bobic, shared a picture with the pool of POTUS and Naomi Biden greeting a group of kids on the beach.

The pool was moved back to the bus after around 10 minutes. We're now holding.

Out of town pool report #6 - Return from beach

FLOTUS, wearing a white beach cover-up, walked down the tree-shaded path from the beach to the motorcade at 3.48pm.

POTUS followed about a minute later wearing blue shorts with white motifs, a white polo, sunglasses and his black baseball cap.

He waved briefly in the direction of the pool but did not respond to shouted questions on Gaza and the Israeli attack on a school compound there — the NSC issued a statement about it earlier.

POTUS and FLOTUS then left in the motorcade in the direction of their house.

Out of town pool report #7 - Church

Pool bus joined the motorcade at 4.12pm — moving again only around 20 minutes after POTUS left the beach (where he spent around 2 hours 40 minutes, by pooler's calculation).

Motorcade arrived at St Edmond's Catholic Church at 4.17pm. POTUS had already entered by the time pool were off bus, pool did not lay eyes on him.

A man with a child stood on the sidewalk about half a block away and shouted 'Take America Back' and 'elder abuse'.

Out of town pool report #8 - Iran q

President Biden left the church at 4.54pm, wearing his aviator shades, a white polo and blue slacks.

POTUS appeared to say 'Don't' when asked what his message was to Iran — pls check back on playout and transcript as he was at a distance. He didn't respond to questions on Gaza, Russia-Ukraine and Trump.

There were a few cheers from onlookers as he left. A woman who left church shortly before told pool she was 'ridin with Biden' and had brought a poster for him to sign.

The motorcade split off from pool at POTUS's house at 5.03pm.
