Out of town pool report #1 -- call time pushed

Hi all,

12:00 call time has been pushed to 2:00.

Out of town pool report #2 — call time pushed again

The White House has pushed the call time again, now at 3:00pm.

Out of town pool report #3 — gathered

Hello from Santa Ynez, where it is blue skies and temperatures in the high-70s.

Pool has moved to the edge of the 8,000 acre ranch where POTUS and family have been staying (owned by Joe Kiani). Expected police presence at gates. We arrived at 3:40 and currently being swept, awaiting further information on movement.

Out of town pool report #4

Pool joined motorcade leaving ranch at 4:50. Service was almost non-existent on the drive so combining pool reports here. An uneventful ride. Lots of people dotted along the route waving and filming the motorcade.

Pool arrived the Old Mission Santa Inés church in Solvang at 5:07, where POTUS will be attending mass. He had entered before the pool van could get near as we were stuck at the back of the motorcade.

Trying to get confirmation on which family members are with him.

Out of town pool report #5 — thumbs up on ceasefire talks

Pool finally has eyes on POTUS as he exited the church at 6:07.

Hunter and Ashley accompanied him.

When asked by AP's Aamer Madhani how ceasefire talks are going, POTUS gave a thumbs up. There was no other interaction with the pool.

Motorcade rolling as of 6:10.

Two pro-Palestine protesters spotted on the outskirts of the church — both holding signs. One was chanting "Not another nickel, not another dime. No more money for Israel's crimes" and "Biden, Biden you can't hide, we charge you with genocide." They chanted throughout the service and as Biden left.

Out of town pool report #6 — lid

Motorcade arrived back at the Kiani ranch at 6:30. Uneventful ride, lots of great wine country scenery.

The press vans stopped at the front gates of the estate as the motorcade continued onto the RON.

The pool is rolling back to hotel as of 6:31.

WH gave a 6:30 lid. That's all for the evening.

Clarification on last report, the protestor shouting was on the outskirts of the grounds so most likely could not be heard inside the church during the service.
