Out of town pool report #2 - Leaving DANG At 9:49 am the motorcade reached Delaware Air National Guard Base. Your pooler saw the First Lady and Potus board at 9:52. The president waved at the top of the stairs but did not stop to chat with the press. The pool was stationed far away and could not shout questions. We will be wheels off shortly. Out of town travel pool #3 - JBA AF1 was wheels up at 10:02 am and landed at JBA at 10:22 am. At 10:34 am the president, wearing a suit, and the First Lady, in a blue blazer and white pants, deplaned. They briefly chatted with their greeters and then walked towards Marine One. They boarded at 10:35 am. No gaggle with the pool. At 10:40 the helo took off. Marine One touched down on the South Lawn at 10:50 a.m. POTUS disembarked and walked straight into the West Wing at 10:54 a.m. He waved at the assembled press but did not stop to take any questions. In-Town Pool Report #5: Astros event concludes POTUS spoke for roughly eight minutes at the Houston Astros celebration inside the East Room, concluding his remarks at 1:08 p.m. After he spoke, Jim Crane, owner and chairman of the Astros, and Dusty Baker Jr., the team's manager, each delivered brief remarks. Crane presented a team jersey that said Biden 46 to POTUS, who posed for photos with Crane and Baker Jr. "Put me in, Coach! I'm ready to play," POTUS quipped as he held up the jersey. POTUS then shook hands with members of the team and turned to give them a salute before exiting the room at 1:18 p.m. As POTUS left, a reporter shouted a question seeking reaction to the reports of Russian and Chinese ships patrolling near Alaska. POTUS turned around and appeared to say a few words, but no one (including the reporter who shouted the question) was able to make out what he said over the band's music. |

In-Town Pool Report #7: Motorcade rolling to JBA POTUS entered the motorcade at 4:34 p.m. and we are rolling to JBA at 4:37 p.m. Your pooler did not get a glimpse of POTUS leaving the White House. |

In-Town Pool Report #8: Arrived at JBA After an uneventful ride, the motorcade arrived at Joint Base Andrews at 4:58 p.m. On the way out, the motorcade passed a fairly large number of tourists lining the streets outside the White House and along the Mall. Many of them waved and held up the cameras on their phones. Per the White House, the following traveled with the President via motorcade to JBA: Natalie Quillian, Assistant to the President & Deputy Chief of Staff Handing things over to the supplemental pool, who will take it from here. Have a great evening and be safe from the (expected) storm! |

Out of Town Pool Report #1 — Checking In Greetings from Joint Base Andrews. Bad weather has moved up our departure time to 5:15. POTUS is now expected to arrive at JBA at 5:00 for our trip to the Grand Canyon. The earlier departure time has also sent members of your pool scrambling amid beltway traffic to make it to JBA on time. Karine is expected to brief us on AF1, which you can watch on White House live |

Out of Town Pool Report #4 — POTUS Departs POTUS stepped off AF1 at 6:41. We are now at Grand Canyon Airport. POTUS, still wearing his trademark aviators, spoke briefly with two greeters. It was not immediately clear who the two greeters were and your pooler has asked for more information. He did not take any questions as he entered the beast. Pool is moving at 6:45 |

Travel Pool Report 6a — Arrival at RON An errant thumb sent last pool report sooner than expected. POTUS arrived at RON at 6:50. Your pooler did not lay eyes on POTUS. There was very short drive to the RON that was lined with bystanders filming the motorcade. |
