In Town Pool Report #1 – bad weather call

Good morning!

There's a bad weather call so the president will motorcade to Joint Base Andrews. Pool is gathering at 8:35 am.

In Town Pool Report #2 – Rolling to JBA

POTUS' motorcade began rolling at 9:04am from the White House en route to JBA. Pool didn't see POTUS get into his SUV.

In Town Pool Report #3 — JBA arrival

The motorcade arrived at JBA at 9:28am after an uneventful, rainy ride.

POTUS and FLOTUS stepped out of their SUV at 9:29. The President saluted and he and the First Lady boarded Air Force One.

POTUS motorcade arrived at JBA at apx 9:26 am

The president shook hands with Air Force personnel and followed FLOTUS onto the plane. He boarded AF1 with the First Lady at 9:29

We will be wheels up for St. Croix shortly.

We are wheels down in St. Croix at 1:36 pm local time. We have sunny skies and a temperature of 81 degrees.

out of town pool report #3 - motorcade rolling

POTUS and FLOTUS deplaned at 1:46 pm local time.

Accompanying them was granddaughter Natalie.

The president headed directly into the SUV without answering a shouted question about what he hoped to hear about the border. FLOTUS gave a wave before entering the vehicle.

out of town pool report #4 - Residence arrival

POTUS was dropped off at his RON, a private residence on St Croix's east end, at 2:25 pm local time

The landscape is lush, the water is turquoise and the air is humid. No protesters were spotted along the drive, but we did see a few small crowds gathered at various points where people waved and took cell phone photos of the motorcade.

One correction on the weather: once we deplaned we discovered that a light drizzle had followed POTUS from Washington. Now the sun appears to have won out

At 2:45 pm a lid was called.
