In-town pool report #1 - Gathering

Good morning! I'll be your in-town pool today.

Pool is gathering at the Palm Room doors for POTUS departure to the Marriott Marquis, where he's set to deliver remarks at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

In-town pool report #2 - OTR stop

Pool made an unannounced stop at St. John's Episcopal Church in Lafayette Square at 12:51pm.

In-town pool report #3 - Details on St. John's church stop

POTUS departed St. John's Church at 1:20pm ET. He spoke briefly to reporters upon leaving.

When asked whether he plans to speak to President-elect Trump before Monday, he said "no … it's coming up pretty quick."

When asked about why he didn't act sooner on the ERA, he said, "I had to get all the facts."

Pool is at the Marriott Marquis, where President Biden is set to speak soon at the Conference of Mayors.

In-town pool report #5 - POTUS speaking

President Biden took the stage at 1:56pm ET at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

President Biden was introduced by Mayor of Columbus Andrew Ginther.

In-town pool report #6 - POTUS remarks conclude

President Biden finished speaking at the Conference of Mayors at 2:11pm ET.

He said that "this is one of the last events I'll be doing as president."

"The reason I chose to be here is because of the first things I did as President was to speak to this conference," Biden said at the beginning of his remarks.

Biden received loud applause when discussing the ERA. He said he "consulted dozens of constitutional scholars to make sure it was all within the power to do this."

In-town pool report #7 - Arrival at White House

Pool arrived back at the White House at 2:30pm ET, after an uneventful ride.

We're now gathered at the South Lawn for POTUS departure to JBA.

In-town pool report #8 - POTUS departure

President Biden and the First Lady, holding hands with Hunter Biden's son, Beau, departed the residence at 2:42pm ET and entered Marine One for JBA.

Hunter Biden and Melissa Biden also walked across the South Lawn and joined President Biden and the First Lady on M1.

In-town pool report #10 - Additional details on St. John's Church visit

Passing along additional details from the White House on President Biden's stop at St. John's Church earlier this afternoon:

The President dropped by St. John's Episcopal Church, Lafayette Square to visit Reverend Rob Fischer. He also signed the President's Pew Prayer Book which has been signed by all U.S. Presidents since 1961.

Pool gathered at the Palm Room doors at 3:25pm ET for POTUS arrival.

In-town pool report #12 - Marine One arrival

Marine One landed on the South Lawn at 3:34pm ET.

POTUS and the First Lady entered the residence at 3:37pm ET. Biden did not answer shouted questions from reporters.

Hunter Biden, Melissa Biden and Baby Beau exited M1 just after the President and First Lady.

In-town pool report #13 - Lid

The White House called a lid at 4:39pm ET.
