In-Town Pool Report #1: bad weather call Good morning all — I am your in-town pooler today. My cell is in my signature if you need it. We have a bad weather call ahead of the president's trip to Wisconsin. The president will motorcade to Joint Base Andrews. Pool is gathering at the Palm Room Doors at 9:15 a.m. |

In-Town Pool Report #2: rolling to JBA Press loaded into vans at 9:22 a.m. Motorcade departed from the White House on its way to JBA at 9:52 a.m. Your pooler did not lay eyes on POTUS as we loaded. It's a cloudy, foggy day, and the tip of the Washington monument cannot be seen. 55 degrees in Washington. |

Out of town pool #1 - Departure, no gaggle Good morning, I will be your pooler today. As always feel free to reach out if needed. The motorcade arrived at JBA at 10:14 AM and the president exited his car at 10:17. He did not engage with the pool. POTUS ascended the small stairs and boarded at 10:18. We will be wheels up shortly for Duluth International Airport. A reminder that Principal Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Dalton and NSC Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby will gaggle onboard |

Out of town pool #2 - Arrival Duluth Airport Air Force One was wheels up at 10:18 (EST) and landed at 11:32 local time at Duluth International Airport. Olivia Dalton and John Kirby gaggled for approx 21 minutes. The fight was otherwise uneventful. The president, wearing a navy blue coat, deplaned at 11:45 and chatted for a few moments with the officials gathered on the tarmac (see names below) He entered the Beast at 11:48 and we will be rolling soon. Out of town pool #3 - Stop at Blatnik Bridge At 12:12 the motorcade stopped near the John A. Blatnik Memorial Bridge, which connects Duluth (Minnesota) to Superior (Wisconsin). The ride through snow-covered neighborhoods was uneventful. A few onlookers along the way, filming with their phones. The weather is very cloudy and foggy. The White House has previously warned that without additional funding, the Blatnik bridge would have to shut down by 2030. |

Out of town pool #4 - Rolling from bridge At 12:18 the president, accompanied by officials, joined a group of workers in helmets and neon safety vests who were waiting for him, with the Blatnik bridge in the background. There is a sign with the words "President Joe Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law" planted near them. POTUS shook hands with the workers. One of the officials then said a few words but the pool was stationed at a distance and could not hear. Everybody clapped after he concluded. The pool was led away after 5 minutes while one of the workers was speaking. At 12:34 the motorcade is rolling to the next stop. Per the WH Greeting the President upon arrival at Blatnik Bridge: Craig Thompson, Secretary, Wisconsin Department of Transportation The President previously met with several of these workers the last time he visited the Blatnik Bridge in 2022. |

Out of town pool #5 - Arrival at brewery At 12:39 the motorcade arrived at Earth Rider Brewery, Superior, Wisconsin. While While walking to the venue your pool spotted two Trump supporters standing on a lift with a "Let's go Brandon" flag. Next to them was a man with a "Thank you Joe Biden" sign. Closer to the entrance was a group of pro Palestine protesters, chanting that they want a ceasefire "now" We are now inside the brewery and waiting for the presidents remarks. They will stream in the usual places. Senator Klobuchar is now speaking. Out of town pool #8 - Holding at Cedar Lounge Taproom The president concluded his remarks at 1:28 pm. The pool was then led to the Cedar Lounge Taproom, next to the brewery, where we are now holding. Pro Palestine protesters are still there, chanting « Biden you can't hide, we charge you with genocide » and « What do we want? Ceasefire! When do we want it? Now! |

Out of town pool #9 - Color from stop at taproom The president entered the room at 1:45 pm, together with Tim Nelson, the founder and CEO of Earth Rider Brewery. He first chatted briefly with a small group of people but your pool was standing across the room and could not hear what they were saying, except for POTUS commenting that the this was a "cool place". The president then engaged with people seated on bar stools around high tables. He shook hands, hugged one woman and chatted some more. He was still mingling when the pool was ushered out at 1:54 pm. There were approx two dozens of people in the room, please see this list of attendees provided by the WH: The President is stopping by the Cedar Lounge Tap Room, at Earth Rider Brewery to meet with Tim Nelson, Founder & CEO of Earth Rider Brewery and his team. Attendees Also sharing this from the WH In June, Tim Nelson, the owner of Earth Rider Brewery, penned a letter of support to Secretary Buttigieg for the federal funding applications of Minnesota and Wisconsin's Department of Transportation for the Blatnik Bridge Reconstruction Project. |

Out of town pool #12 - Leaving fire station At 2:29 PM the president walked into the garage of the fire station, carrying a small bag. With him were Sen Klobuchar, Gov Evers, Sen Baldwin and Sen Smith, carrying coffee and cardboard boxes . The president started chatting with a group of firefighters standing next to a truck and to a boat on a trailer. The conversation was still underway when your pool was led back to the vans at 2:44 PM. At 2:50 PM the motorcade was on the move. Per the WH The President visited Superior Fire Department Local 74 to thank first responders and drop off coffee and baked goods. |
