Ro Khanna of California -- on the speaking program here right after POTUS – gaggled with assembled press. Otter link: https://otter.ai/u/uNaLMWrX2Phy3H89ivoYoBBeB6w A few excerpts: "Donald Trump being the nominee has given clarity to the stakes. And I'm seeing people really being enthusiastic about the president's reelection." "The party is now realizing the stakes. They realize that abortion is on the ballot. They realize that the economy for the working class is on the ballot, and they're unified behind the president. And you're going to have a lot of progressive leaders like me go out and make the case that young voters, the progressives, the independents, that we've got to rally around the President as the best chances for peace in the Middle East, the best chance to have a progressive agenda for the working class. q. Biden seems to be losing ground in the black vote: "I don't see it here! I think he's doing very, very well. And once the economic message starts to come through, in the contrast, I think he's gonna win that overwhelmingly." |
