Travel pool report #1 — assembling

Good morning from Wilmington where we’re getting the first flurries from the storm this weekend.

The pool was called to gather at 11:15am and is rolling toward an undisclosed location as of 11:26.

Travel pool report #2 — rolling

After a bit of holding the pool joined the president’s motorcade at 1:10pm and we’re on the move.

Travel pool report #3 — lunch

The pool split off from the motorcade at the Fieldstone Golf Club at 1:18pm where the president stopped in for lunch.

No view of POTUS on the way into the club.

Travel pool report #3a — lunch guests

From the WH:

The President is having lunch with former Senator Ted Kaufman at Fieldstone Golf Club.

Travel pool report #4 — leaving lunch

The pool rejoined the motorcade on the president’s way back from lunch at the golf club. We are rolling again as of 3:20 pm.

Travel pool report #5 — holding

The pool split off as the president returned home around 3:26 pm. We’re now holding once again awaiting any activity this evening.

Travel pool report #6 — church

The pool folded back into the motorcade at 5:07 pm, falling back after it dropped the president off for evening mass at St. Joseph on the Brandywine.

Not many good lines of sight this evening as the rain has picked up and it’s past dark. But it appeared as if POTUS was inside by 5:10 pm.

Travel pool report #7 — leaving church

The president stepped out around 5:54pm walking out with the priest through driving rain.

He did not appear to acknowledge a question about Secretary Austin’s hospitalization and recovery.

The motorcade was rolling back a minute later.

The president was back at home just after 6:00 pm, and we have a lid for tonight.
