President Biden spoke today with the U.S. military personnel aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (the "Ike") aircraft carrier, who are returning home to the United States after a nine month deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. During its deployment, the Ike conducted many operations with allies and partners; responded to immediate threats to maritime shipping posed by Iran-aligned militia groups; and kept us all safer and more secure. President Biden welcomed our military home and thanked them and their families for their exemplary service and sacrifice to our Nation.

The motorcade stopped at St Edmond Catholic Church at 5:43pm. There is a 5:30pm mass today.

Some onlookers waved along the way while it is raining in Rehoboth. We did not see the president enter the church.

Pool asked if he has been briefed on the shooting at the Trump rally. He responded, "no."

He then didn't respond to a question about how his meeting with Leader Schumer went.

According to WH: the president gave remarks at the Emergency Briefing Room in Rehoboth, Del.

At the end of his remarks, Biden responded to a question about if the incident was an assassination attempt. He did not respond to questions about if the security failed at the rally and if he's afraid for his own safety.

More onlookers on the street watching the motorcade. One woman held up a peace sign.
