Travel Pool # 1 AF1 departure/ POTUS Q/A Hello all. Taking over for Michael here. Marine One landed at JBA at roughly 4:46 PM. Four Secret Service agents took positions on either side (two on each side) of the Marine One entrance before POTUS exited. They were spaced out with what looked like 10 feet in between them and walked alongside POTUS as he approached AF1. POTUS then jogged over and answered questions from the press Do you feel safe with your detail? "Yes, I do." Do you have faith in your secret service detail? "Yes, I do." He was asked about JD Vance. "A clone of Trump on the issues." He walked away as he was asked about his conversation with the former president this weekend. |

Travel pool report #4 rolling Before the president exited Air Force One, the pool was moved to a holding location parallel to the nose of the plane and still with a clear view of the president's path. The president exited Air Force one at 6:22 PM trailed by a secret service agent, Rep. Clyburn and Rep. Barragán and other members of Congress. A group of greeters (below) applauded his arrival and took a group photograph with him. They then surrounded him for a couple minutes to talk. Your pool could not make out what they were saying. The president got in the Beast at 6:30 PM after talking to the greeters. Rep. Clyburn joined him in the Beast. From the White House: Rep. Steven Horsford (NV-04) |
