Good morning,

I'll be your print pooler today. We have a noon call time, with the only open event on the schedule being the press briefing, which is scheduled for 3 p.m.

And from the White House:

Last night, the President spoke with Senator Carper to see how he was feeling and to the hosts of yesterday’s event to thank them for their flexibility.

The in-town pool call time has been pushed back to 1 p.m.

And also making sure everyone has seen that the White House circulated a letter providing an update on the president's condition from Dr. O'Connor.

In-town pool #3 - briefing delayed, gathering for virtual pool spray

The briefing is delayed until 3:30 p.m., and the pool is gathering now to go to the South Court Auditorium for a pool spray (president will join virtually).

In-town pool report #4 - holding outside

The TV pool entered the auditorium to pre-set at 3:02 p.m.

From today's White House guidance, this is the meeting the pool is getting ready to enter:

In the afternoon, the President will meet virtually with his economic team on the progress being made to lower gas prices for American families.

I will send additional updates from inside, if the Wifi cooperates.

President Biden began speaking at 3:18 p.m., on the center screen. He sounded hoarse and did cough.

"Gas prices are coming down, in fact gas prices have fallen every day."

"In some places, it's down almost a dollar from last month."

"The real answer is to get to a clean energy economy as soon as possible, turn this into something positive."

Members of the pool shouted questions at the screen about how POTUS was feeling, as we were being shuffled out of the auditorium

"I feel much better than I sound," he said.

POTUS also could be seen giving a thumbs up and smiling on screen during the shouted questions.
