In-Town Pool Report #6- Junk fees remarks Biden was sitting at a table with CEOs and the Director of the National Economic Council when reporters entered the South Court Auditorium. He began his remarks on junk fees at 2:16 and his remarks ended at around 2:21. He spoke about his administration's actions in ending junk fees and talking to companies so they present all fees up front. He also answered a couple questions: Q: What do you hope Blinken achieves in China? "I've spoken to Blinken. We're going to talk about that later. That's not what this is about." Q: Can you tell us anything about the cyberattack today? "No" Q: Why did the Ukraine informant file refer to you as the big guy? "Why did you ask such a dumb question?" The remarks were streamed on the White House website. |

In-Town Pool Report #7- pre set gather From the White House: To pre-set on the South Lawn and/or join the first wave press gather for the "Flamin' Hot" movie screening, please gather at the Palm Room Doors now. Press will be permitted to remain on the South Lawn (within the designated press area) for stand-ups and interviews following the 5:30 PM preset. After 6:00 PM, escorts back to the briefing room will be limited until the final gather. FPPO: Final gather (which will include in-house pool) will occur at 7:15 PM. |

In-Town Pool Report #9- Biden remarks at 'Flamin Hot' POTUS and FLOTUS exited the White House with Eva Longoria at 8:08pm. FLOTUS is speaking. The speech is being live-streamed on the WH website: https://www.whitehouse.gov/live/ Before the remarks, what appeared to be hundreds of people were on the South Lawn standing or sitting in chairs/blankets enjoying food and drinks. A mariachi band played from the White House balcony. |

In-Town Pool Report #10- details on remarks FLOTUS spoke for 3 minutes and Eva Longoria then took the stage. She thanked the Bidens for the opportunity to show her movie at the White House, stressing how important this moment is for the Latino community. She also said Biden is "fighting for democracy." POTUS then took the stage at 8:16pm. "I accept," POTUS joked when an audience member said "I love you!!!" "It's important to show our country all our stories," POTUS said. He noted the screening marks the 11th anniversary of DACA and how important it is to show stories. POTUS ended his remarks at 8:22pm. The crowd cheered " Sí se puede." He then shook hands with the crowd.
