Out of town pool #3 - Wheels down

Bonjour from Paris Orly Airport where AF1 landed at 9:28 am local time after an uneventful flight.

Karine Jean-Pierre and Jake Sullivan gaggled for approx 35 minutes shortly after departure.

John Kirby came to the back of the plane for a short OTR conversation.

We had no other visitors to the press cabin, where MSNBC was playing on the screens.

The plane is now taxiing.

Out of town pool #4 - Official welcome

The president deplaned at 9:44 am, wearing his signature sunglasses.

It's partly cloudy here at the Paris Orly Airport and the temperature is 59 °F.

An honor guard and the French PM Gabriel Attal were waiting for the president on the tarmac, with other officials (see list below) .

Biden shook hands with Attal and had a chat with him, during which he briefly laid his hand on his arm.

The other greeters joined them and they all exchanged pleasantries for a minute or so.

Potus then shook hands once more with the French PM and entered his car at 9:47 am.

The motorcade is rolling at 9:52 am.

Out of town pool #5 - Motorcade and RON

The motorcade reached the RON at 10:17 am after an uneventful drive.

Your pooler did not see Potus exit his car.

The Boulevard Périphérique, Paris' beltway, and other streets had been closed off for Biden's arrival.

On the way, your pooler caught a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and of the Seine river.

We drove by small groups of onlookers, people on their bikes watching the motorcade, and Parisians sipping their morning coffee on terraces.

Pool is now holding inside the hotel.

At 10:34 am the WH called a lid for the day.
