Pool Report #2: Pence briefing at 12 pm

Stephanie Grisham just sent the following tweet:

".@realDonaldTrump is currently leading the Coronavirus Task Force meeting this morning that began at 10AM. Immediately following at 12PM, @Mike_Pence will host a news conference with members of the Task Force from the @WhiteHouse briefing room."

Pool Report #4 -- White House physician's office gives temp checks to reporter

Around 11:30 am a man in a suit with a no contact thermometer came through the White House press briefing room and workspaces, taking the temperature of reporters in the building.

Judd Deere told reporters that the man was part of the White House physician's office. His name was not immediately available.

Deere provided the following statement on the atypical situation:

Pool Report #5: more on the temperature checks

Per several video and photojournalists who were present at the time, a member of the media who had his temperature taken as he was about to enter the White House press briefing room was turned away. He had a temperature above 99.0 -- they are unsure of the exact number.

I have emailed the White House press office and asked for additional details.

Members of the coronavirus task force have now gathered at the podium.
