In-town pool report #3--Leavitt gaggle White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt gaggled for about 10 minutes at the sticks outside. She previewed President Trump's afternoon announcement on the Department of Education this afternoon, saying that the department will not be completely shut down (which would require congressional action) and a much smaller version of it will continue to administer "critical functions," such as student loans and Pell grants. She also talked about the Tren de Aragua deportation case, the Federal Reserve and the war in Gaza, among other topics. Here's the audio. |
