President Biden stepped foot on the Edmund Pettus Bridge flanked by local officials and civil rights leaders at 3:57 p.m.

Mr. Biden paused to greet those on the Bridge before taking his position in the center and locking arms with those to his left and right.

The group began the procession across the surprising steep span at 4:00 p.m. CST.

One member of the group led the crosses in spirituals as they crossed.

A large crowd filled the city block behind the President to watch the crossing.

After reviewing footage of the departure while aboard the flight, pooler noted that President Biden stumbled slightly as he ascended the staircase to board Air Force One.

Marine One set down on the South Lawn at 8:14 p.m. The president stepped off the helicopter at 8:16 and, after a wave toward the pool, he was in the White House at 8:17.
