Travel pool report #1 — Lunch lid

Good morning.

The White House has called a lunch lid until 2 p.m.

Travel pool report #2 — Lid extended

The White House has extended its lid until 6:15 p.m.

Travel pool report #3 — Biden briefed on Iowa tornadoes

The White House passes along the following statement:

The President was briefed this morning regarding the devastating impact of tornadoes that hit Iowa yesterday.

The President reached out to the Governor and directed his Homeland Security Secretary and FEMA Director to remain in close contact with State and local officials as they assess damage and determine what Federal assistance is needed.

Travel pool report #4 — Motorcade rolling

The motorcade picked President Biden up from his residence at 7:36 p.m.

The pool has joined the motorcade, and we're rolling to Delaware Air National Guard Base.

Travel pool report #5 — Marine One departure

The president arrived at Delaware Air National Guard Base at 7:48 p.m. and boarded Marine One.

The president's helicopter was wheels up at 7:54 p.m.

Handing things off to the in-town pool from here.

WH pool report 1 — return to WH — no questions

Marine 1 finished its 95-mile trip from Wilmington by setting down on the South Lawn at 2059.

The president and first lady climbed out of the helicopter's forward door three minutes later on this balmy spring evening and made their way across the grass and into the residence at 2102. He did not respond to shouted questions from the pool.
