Out-of-town note #1 - Departing MAL

Good morning from Palm Beach.

Pool was rolling from our hotel at 6:35am, just as the sun rose over Palm Beach. Some lovely pastel pinks reflected in the water.

Prior to departure we witnessed AP approach, be turned away, then retreat into Schrödinger's pool duty, here and not here at the same time. Their ban remains.

After screening at a Mar-a-Lago parking lot, we pulled up to stage outside the club at 7:04am.

Motorcade is now rolling from MAL at 8:09am.

Out-of-town note #2 - arrival at Trump International Golf Club

Streets were largely empty as the motorcade rolled to Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach. We did not spot POTUS. His motorcade drove into the golf club at 8:17am.

Today is the men's club championship and POTUS has an early tee time.

We have diverted to our hold across the street from the club at the Palm Beach County Library.

Out-of-town note #3 - golf winding down

After a peaceful hours-long hold in a library conference room, your pool was hustled into the vans at 11:19am as POTUS finished his rounds of golf.

While holding, your pool feasted on massive donuts thoughtfully provided by the AP. They were a multi-sensory experience, filled with surprises.

We are now sitting in the lot across from the Trump International Golf Club awaiting POTUS's departure.

A cyclist wearing full-body spandex was waiting directly across the street from the entrance to the club. He pedaled toward us and shouted, "Yo, fake news, what's up?" He repeated it twice more to make sure we heard. As he pedaled away, we could see that the back of his spandex had a pro-gun slogan: "Armed Cyclist," with a handgun and a green circle around it.

Out-of-town note #4 - golf departure

POTUS departed the Trump International Golf Club at 1:23 pm. Motorcade is rolling.

Earlier, a dump truck sounded its air horn as it rumbled westward past the club's entrance while POTUS was within.

As pool waited across the street prior to POTUS's departure, we spotted a bald eagle circling above the club. About half an hour later, what appeared to be a hawk careened back and forth just to the east of where the eagle flew its course.

Earlier footage posted to the WH rapid response account on X showed that POTUS was wearing a white polo shirt and a red Make America Great Again cap as he entered the club this morning in the Beast. He was speaking on a cell phone as he waved at supporters just before the vehicle turned into the club's driveway.

It's hot and sunny: my phone tells me it's currently 82 degrees. The AP could be spotted in the parking lot directly across from the entrance to the club, continuing Schrödinger's pool duty at a safe remove from we the official ones. As the motorcade departed, POTUS waved out the window of the Beast in the direction of the AP and the roughly five supporters standing there in the sun who appeared excited to catch a glimpse of him.

Out-of-town note #5 - back to Mar-a-Lago

Motorcade returned to Mar-a-Lago at very high speed, prompting your pooler to remember to buckle up. The hot day appears to have kept onlookers inside with the AC, though one guy in flip-flops filmed on his phone as he stood outside Walgreens.

Arrival at MAL at 1:29pm.

Your pooler has inquired about POTUS's golf result but has not received a definitive answer.

We are holding in the MAL parking lot again.
